Food For Thought

Our experience is not so much about what we do, but rather, the quality of who.

Our experience is not so much about what we do, but rather, the quality of who we are. Not what we think, but how we think and how we act upon those thoughts. Free will and choice are our God given right. The only thing we can ever control is our choice to be happy or unhappy. In this time of polarization and turmoil on our planet finding the center within ourselves seems to be the only sane thing to do. I teach people to be more centered with food. But that is only one piece of the puzzle. To move from a place of judgement into a place of unattached observation and understanding. To know that every breath is a gift. Every person, every drop of water, every blade of grass is a miracle. I do not normally quote the Bible, however, I will share this quote because it speaks to the point I am trying to make.

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
— 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

If you prefer, the Beatles said the same thing with “all you need is love”. Love of oneself, love of our planet and love of one another. Love is divine power. I have broken down the basics of what I consider to be a healthy conscious life, into the following categories. You will notice that they encompass all aspects of our being. They are all basic. They are  all affordable if not free and easy to do. I have no idea if they are approved by the FDA, AMA, ADA, Prescription Drug Companies, religious groups or ANY governmental agency. I do know these basics are tried and true and have worked for mankind long before the formation of man created rules and regulations. Implementing a variety of whole living foods and positive practices into your life, showing moderation in toxic foods and practices and finally consistency in an effort to move forward with your growth. Variety, moderation and consistency are key to balance. At the core of truth lies balance and the ability to recognize that which we can change, that which we can not change and the wisdom to know the difference. I do not dispense medical advice, so please do not ask me to. What I can do is offer my personal observation and desire to help.

Consider the following as nothing more than high vibrational food for thought:

Spirit;  it is what we are and we can not be separated from it.
Thought;  think a new one and it could change your life as well as those around you.
Action;  makes manifest our thoughts and spirit into the physical.
Air;  we would only last a few minutes without it.
Water;  we would only last a few days without it.
Food;  we would only last a few weeks without it.
Exercise Every Day;  stretch, walk, bounce, get up and move every hour.
Find the Good in All;  even clouds have a silver lining, because the sun is always shining.
Eat for Health;  because you deserve it.
Track pH;  chart your way back into balance, see the consequences of poor choices as they happen.
Low Vibration Foods;  no one ever found the light in the darkness.
High Vibration Foods;  eat these and become a conduit for positive energies.
A Balanced Life;  what is it and what does it mean to you.
Life is a Practice;  never give up.

Changing how I looked at food and eating for health rather than familiarity changed my life. From that first step my journey of self awareness began. Everyone has their turning point. No one knows how you feel, no one knows your history of pain or triumph the way you do. Perhaps it’s to stop smoking cigarettes or eating processed foods or alcohol or drugs. Maybe it’s a terrible childhood an abusive relationship or an illness. All that matters is that you wake-up before it’s too late.

Be the change. First and foremost honor ourselves, honor one another, honor nature and have a knowingness that all is one. Love of life includes loving ourselves. This love is the only true power we have. Giving up stale ideologies that no longer serve us and opening up to new realms of consciousness will allow miracles to happen. No matter what we all believe, there is only one truth — look for it everywhere, but first inside of yourself. Every great master the world has ever known has told us to live in the present moment. No anger or regrets about the past. No wasted time worrying about the future. Just bliss in the moment. Joy with the miracle in and around us in every moment.

“God isn't about making good things happen to you, or bad things happen to you. He's all about you making choices;  exercising the gift of free will. God wants you to have good things and a good life, but He won't gift wrap them for you. You have to choose the actions that lead you to that life.”― Jim Butcher
